Modern Waikiki boasts some of the best tourist infrastructure in the world. Most of the tourist activity is centered on the famous beach. This is where you will find the most hotels and activities, such as surfing on gentle waves overlooked by iconic Diamond Head. The neighborhood is vibrant with many shops, restaurants, cafes and outdoor bars for sunset cocktails. This makes the area particularly popular with investors seeking vacation rental income. Strolling on the beachfront Waikiki becomes quieter as you approach Kapiolani Park, a large peaceful beachfront park that extends to Diamond Head.
